Francis Clark Taunton Deane Aquathlon

The Taunton Deane Aquathlon has been an annual event at Wellington Sports Centre since 2005. This early season event is well supported by local triathletes and Somerset RC tri club in particular who turn out in force to set up and marshal the event as well as participating. The swim portion takes place in the heated indoor 25m pool, and the run consists of an undulating route around the local lanes of Tonedale, Runnington and Holywell Lake.

We have two distance options available – the short course race consists of a 500m swim and a 5km run, whilst the longer distance race is double that at 1000m swim and a 10km run. There is also an option for relay teams for those wishing to share the burden! You must be 16 or over to enter the long course event and 14 or over to enter the short course event.
